Kent
Kent is in south-east England, and has much to offer visitors, from the rich history and architecture of Canterbury, to the beautiful scenery and views offered by the White cliffs of Dover.
White Clifs of Dover
The White Cliffs of Dover are, as you would imagine, a towering coastline of pure white cliffs which front the Strait of Dover, and look out across to France. The earliest name given to Britain was Albion, which means white, and this was given by the Romans because the first thing they saw when approaching Britain was the White Cliffs of Dover. Because of the unique nature of the cliffs, they have become one of the UK's foremost tourist attractions, bringing in thousands of visitors each year.
