Located just outside of Aviemore, on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, Tulloch Ghru features heavily in several scenes of the Outlander TV series. Aside from featuring in the Credits, the heavily-wooded area is host to the scene where Claire makes her way to Castle Leoch with her group of Highlanders. This area is just splendid in summer, with the dense woodlands creating a haven for birds and wildlife. The rolling Cairngorm hills nearby are perfect for mountain biking and hill walking in summer, and contain some of Scotland’s best Ski runs in winter.
