Kisimul Castle is the ancient stronghold of the clan MacNeil and is built on a rock in the middle the bay, near the main village on the Isle of Barra
The Castle can be reached by taking a small boat from Castlebay (five minute trip, weather permitting). It is recommended visiting this site with a helper due to the boat crossing, difficult terrain and various levels within the castle.
Adult £5.00, Child £3.00, Concession £4.00
Last ticket sold 30 min before closing time. Admission price includes charge for boat trip.
