In a maze of 600 metres of tunnels one of Europe's richest archeological sites. Home to neanderthal and cro-magnon man, in all more than 70000 objects, engravings and paintings paintings and engravings have been uncovered on the site.

The cave of Isturitz, was discovered in 1895, and contains impressive stalagmite.

The cave of Oxocelhaya, a cathedral of rock carved by water over thousands of years.

In the cave of Erberua, runs the Arberoue, a formerly ultra-powerful river which carved out the grottes (caves).
