The Gretna Hall Hotel is ideally located on the border of England and Scotland. This hotel is perfect for exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders and the Dumfries and Galloway area, and equally convenient as a base for going south of the border to the Lake District and Northumberland. Situated within its own beautiful grounds, the Gretna Hall Hotel retains much of its tradition and charm with inviting open fires and friendly service the hotel has a modern and contemporary style which offers 100 en suite bedrooms, restaurant, lounge bar, private car parking and excellent motorway links.

Our hotel has 100 bedrooms, all of which have en suite facilities and are decorated in a minimal and classy style. Our dining area and restaurant is large and comfortable where guests can enjoy a menu that is full of variety for any meal of the day. We have a lounge area with plush leather chairs where guests can relax with a cup of coffee over the morning papers. Our hotel is bursting full of charm and character but one of our main attractions is our location, we have unbeatable access the motorway which means getting to and from the hotel is an absolute breeze. Full car parking facilities are available.

Nearby the hotel is a wide variety of activities and sites to see. For example if you are a golf enthusiast there is the excellent Wigtownshire County Golf Course. There is also the Dumfries Ice Bowl within a short drive, where there is a wide variety of ice based activities as well as bowling. The large hotel is also in a great location for walking and cycling, if you enjoy mountain biking then why not try out the Killoughtree and Glentrool bike routes, just a short drive away. For sailing and other water based activities there is the Galloway Sailing Centre.
There are plenty of historical sites and other attractions in the area around our holiday accommodation. For example there is Caerlaverock Castle, a medieval castle with special events and shows for kids. A perfect day out for the whole family. Another fun family day out is the Cream O’ Galloway visitor centre, where there are a whole host of activities for kids such as an ice cream factory, and also nature trails. Truly something for everyone.
The hotel is also in a good location for using as a base to visit the borders or indeed in the opposite direction to the beautiful and world famous Lake District.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink around the area of the hotel, with plenty using local produce for that fresh taste!
