Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Villa Maureillas is airy and spacious and makes an ideal base for a wide range of activities. Mountain walks are on our doorstep, the Costa Brava, Girona and Barcelona are all accessible for a day trip and the Mediterranean coast with its sandy beaches is 20 minutes drive away. Our nearest town is Ceret, which is a few minutes drive and famous for its cherries, modern art museum and its lively markets. Swimming, cycling, horse riding and trekking, water sports, tennis and other attractions including a water park are all accessible within a short distance. There is a lake for fishing, swimming, water sports and other activities and a small restaurant in the next village. There are 2 golf courses within easy reach, one situated on the coast and the other in the mountains. The closest ski resorts are an hour and a half away. For the less active, try wine tasting at one of the many vineyards or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or bar.

The house has a large, furnished, west facing terrace on the first floor overlooking Mount Canigou and the Pyrenees mountains which is perfect for watching the sunset. The master bedroom which is directly above also has a balcony which is accessed by double doors from the bedroom. The garden apartment has a further patio area with table and 6 chairs. A barbeque is also available and guests are welcome to use the large, secluded garden for sunbathing and relaxing. Hammocks and beach chairs are available. There is ample car parking space.
