Gould's Farmhouse dates back to the 1600s and still retains some of its original features. It has recently been completely renovated but still retains its character and charm whilst retaining the comforts of modern living.  It is furnished as a second home with some antiques.

This beautiful old farmhouse has 3 separate seating areas. 

There is a spacious triple aspect sitting room with open fireplace.

A separate dining room with inglenook and  a stunning interior wall which dates back to the Stuart Period. .

A lovely south facing conservatory.  In addition there is a small office with wifi for those who still need to work, even on holiday!

The well fitted kitchen has an Aga as well as an electric oven, small electric hob and microwave.   There is also a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms.   2 with king sized beds and ensuite facilities and 2 twin bedded rooms which share a shower room.

The house is perfect for a multi-generational holiday as it is spacious with separate sitting areas with the addition of proper lift to the upstairs rooms even those people with limited mobility can get around.. 

Outside

The large garden which is fully enclosed, has flower beds, shrubs and mature trees for shade.  The extensive lawns provide plenty of space in which to play, or even relax and read a book.   

There are sun loungers, picnic table and BBQ

Also off road parking for 4.

The property is ideal for keen cyclists as there is a secure area where bicycles can be left overnight.  Some of the Dorset hills can be challenging though!

The house is perfectly situated to easily visit the World Heritage Jurassic Coast as well as the beautiful sandy beaches of Weymouth, Swanage and Studland.  If you are looking for smaller coves try Durdle Door or Lulworth Cove.

For gardeners and children alike Abbotsbury Tropical Gardens and Swannery are well worth a visit.. For little ones Kingston Mauward  Animal Park is only 10 minutes away.

Also consider visting Bovington Tank Museum,or  Monkey World.  For a day of tranquility try Sculpture by the Lakes.

Further afield, but less than an hour away is the New Forest, Paulton Park (Peppa Pig World), Salisbury, Longleat.
