Just four miles from Truro and eight miles from Falmouth, Chycoose Cottage is ideally located for those who want to explore central Cornwall, both south and north coasts, or indeed those who want to just sit and observe the extensive bird life in the creek at low tide.
The accommodation is spread over two floors, with an architect designed mezzanine extension accessed via an open plan staircase. This comprises a spectacular living room with a glass fronted balcony on the upper floor and the master bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower below.
The French windows in the bedroom open directly onto the paved terrace so it is possible to lie in bed in the morning and watch and listen to all the wildlife activity outside (weather permitting!).
The main part of the cottage has a good sized kitchen/dining area, again with doors leading directly out onto the terrace, the perfect place for outdoor meals and evening drinks.. The fully fitted modern kitchen includes a large built in fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.
There is a separate utility room with washing machine and drier and a downstairs wc. The upstairs accommodation comprises two further bedrooms, one double - twin beds which can be put together - and one single, with a family bathroom in between.
The cottage has been renovated to the highest standard, with a mix of traditional and modern furnishings and features several original artworks. It has eco-friendly air source under floor heating throughout, an iPod dock and broadband wi-fi connection.
On site parking is available for one small car but the space is fairly tight. Additional, ample, parking can be found just 50 yards or so down the lane.
Steps lead down onto the foreshore at low tide and kayaks or canoes can be launched at high tide.
There is a pub, the Old Quay Inn, serving excellent food within walking distance and plenty more are easily reached by car.
''For garden lovers, there are The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick, Trebah and Glendurgan, all of which are nearby''. A short trip across the King Harry Ferry will take you to St Mawes and the beautiful Roseland Peninsular, which is well worth a visit. The accommodation is spread over two floors, with an architect designed mezzanine extension accessed via an open plan staircase.
