Coillabus Eco Luxury Lodges Islay Scottish Hebrides Family friendly Luxury Pet/Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage in Port Ellen Isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Our two five star, turf-roofed lodges each offer welcoming and stylish luxury accommodation for 2-4 guests and make the perfect romantic and secluded base for two people. Wide, ceiling-high galleried windows fill the interestingly shaped living space with light and afford long and everchanging views over moorland and coast. Look out for golden eagle, chough and red deer.

Our soft furnishings are made in our own tweed woven in the iconic Islay Woollen Mill and a wood burning stove adds romance to the spacious but cosy Scottish eco-chic interiors.

Each lodge has two ensuite bedrooms with super comfy Hypnos beds, light as air sheeps' wool duvets, goose down pillows and fairly traded organic bedlinen. Details matter to us.

And from each secluded lodge you can enjoy amazing night skies from your own outdoor bateau bath (Star Tub ) or relax in the Finnolme sauna after a long day's walking, fishing golf or distillery crawling. And did we mention the holistic spa therapies...?

Located on the island of Islay -Scotland's whisky isle - Coillabus is just a ten minute drive from the village (and Ferry port)  of Port Ellen where you'll find the nearest pub and restaurant. Ten minutes too to Islay airport, Machrie Golf course, sandy beaches and 12 minutes from Laphroaig Distillery. (Lagavulin and Ardbeg a mile or two on from there!)

There are lots of great places to eat on Islay or you can just stay put in your little bit of paradise and take advantage of our range of chef services - you can enjoy a freshly prepared Taste of Islay supper cooked, served and cleared away by an award winning chef - or order in a selection of chilled or frozen homecooked meals from our Taste of Bridgend menu. Freshly caught and cooked  seafood platters can also be ordered from local business The Seafood Shack. Or cook up some local produce on the BBQ.

Perfect for two guests - we love hosting honeymoons at Coillabus - the lodges are spacious enough and well-equipped  for four. Or book both lodges together for a special celebraton for up to 8 family and friends. Cots and high chairs available. (Another 6 guests can be accommodated in our family friendly Coillabus Cottage nearby).

We welcome well behaved dogs to our An Cnocan Dubh lodge. If you wish to bring your dog please book this lodge and ask us to send you our dog agreement.
