Welcome to Achachleat, situated in Elgol on the Isle of Skye (The "Winged Isle").
Nestling on a ridge above the sea the property has stunning panoramas of the Black Cuillin mountains, the small Isles of Soay and Canna and beyond to open Atlantic, and a broad horizon of over 40 miles of mainland mountains. From sunrise to sunset the views are quite outstanding.
Coruisk House Restaurant is only a short walk away. Cosy and informal restaurant serving the very best of local ingredients cooked and presented with elegance and simplicity. They stock a tempting array of single malt whiskies.
The property has up to 4 bedrooms and can provide very flexible accommodation, perfect for one or two families.

This is an ideal location for hill walkers, climbers, bird watchers, landscape photographers, and those wishing to get away from it all with one of the most spectacular backdrops in Britain.
Elgol is famous for its sunsets; photographers can often be seen waiting for the sunset with cameras on tripods on our near the jetty car park. The house is only a 10 minute walk, or 2 minute drive from the jetty, and the local beach is renowned for fossils and the incredible honeycombe rock formation.
Achachleat has a full central heating system installed, and the house is fully double glazed. It also has an open fire in the main downstairs living room. So even in the coldest and wildest conditions the Atlantic can throw at us in the proximity of the Cuillin mountains, the house is always warm and cosy.
The beds have incredibly comfortable Tempur 'memory' Mattresses. When we equipped the house we felt that this would be especially appreciated by the more active guests after a long day walking or climbing in the mountains.

- Bedroom 1: Double bedroom, with wash hand basin
- Bedroom 2: Double bed, with single bunk overhead
- Bedroom 3: 2 double bunks (sleeps 4, with wash hand basin)

- Very large living dining room. The living room area has an open fire (coal/peat/logs).
- Large kitchen, with kitchen table able to seat 4/5. Kitchen has gas hob and electric fan oven. There is a dishwasher.
- Utility Room: with washing machine and tumble drier.
- Additional luxury Power Shower room with toilet accessible via the utility room.
Upstairs:
- Bedroom 4: This is a very spacious bedroom with a double bed (and additional single). It also has a well appointed ensuite shower room and toilet.
